Fast: One Meal, TV/Streaming and Social Media
Scripture:
“Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all (manner of) prayer and entreaty. Ephesians 6:18 Classic AMP
Thought of the day:
Pray at all times, seems impossible doesn’t it? Prayer isn’t just asking God for something, it is also having a conversation with Him, worshiping Him. You cannot pray at all times if the only time you pray is during your devotional. As stated, in earlier devotionals: we should never do our devotional, spend time with God in our secret place, then shut and lock the door metaphorically, leaving God in the room until the next time we do our devotions. God is there all the time, everywhere you go wanting to talk to you as you go. Come a little closer still, in your heart towards Him. He knows you better than you know yourself, He wants to help you wherever you are, and whenever it is. Not only that, He wants to be able to use you to minister to others. We live in a hurting world with hurting people who need Jesus. So it’s time to become God inside minded and hurting people outside minded. What I mean by that, is that Almighty God is on the inside of you at all times, wanting to reach out to hurting people. All we have to do is listen to Him and do what He says. Then He can use us to reach them, but only if we are constantly mindful of Him and looking for them.
Prayer:
Father, help me not to leave You shut in a room. Help me to hear You throughout the day. Show me the hurting people that You were trying to reach through me. I promise that I will listen and obey Your prompting. I count it a pleasure to get to spend all day every day with You. Thank You for Your mercy and Your grace on me, and help me show mercy and grace to others. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
