What's Coming Up?
Light the Night is a neighborhood outreach event that takes God’s “light” into a very dark night - Halloween! Light the Night is held at area homes around Newburgh. They are a lot of fun with food, games and treat bags for the kids. If you live in a neighborhood with lots of kids and would like to host a Light the Night location, please contact the Children’s Director, Donya Maleto at 853-3437. This year Halloween falls on Sunday, October 31. You’ll be the hit of your neighborhood!
Our Music Pastor, Kevin Kappler, is currently releasing his third radio single. This compilation CD will go out to over 500 radio stations nationwide. You can track it online at radioactiveairplay.com/charts. Click on Christian Country with the correct week. Just look for the song entitled “EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN.” It is estimated to be at better radio saturation of the end of August to mid-September. What an awesome OUTREACH opportunity to people we will never be able to directly REACH OUT to!

Abundant Life is hosting a Back 2 School Supply Giveaway to help Warrick County students get the supplies they need to start school. This event will be held in the groundzero student center. ONE BAG PER STUDENT PRESENT.

KFORCE is hosting a “Gear Up” outreach event for families! From 5:00-7:00 p.m., kids of all ages up to 6th grade can come enjoy a great night of fun with bounce stations, food and a dunk tank. Then from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Mission Six will perform in concert for kids in grades 1-6. Free first come general admission. Invite your friends for this exciting event! “Gear Up” - Encouraging and enabling kids to realize their potential at an early age.

August 23 - Monday: 6:00 p.m. Women's Book Club Meeting
The Women’s Book Club will meet at the Traverse Pie Co. in Evansville (corner of Burkhardt & Vogel Rds.) We will be discussing the two books assigned for summer, The Frontiersman’s Daughter and The Silent Governess. Bring along any other interesting books you have read. If you would like to join the Women’s Book Club, please contact the church office at 853-3437.
August 29 - Sunday: 4:00-8:00 p.m. Fellowship Dinner & Ice Cream Social
We will have a Fellowship Dinner & Ice Cream Social in the Fellowship Hall. The Men’s Ministry will be serving the best home-made ice cream in the state of Indiana! Mark your calendars now and plan to attend this fun summertime event. Further details to follow.

September 17-18 - Friday-Saturday: Men's Fall Retreat to Lake Barkley
Keep your schedule clear for the annual Men’s Fall Retreat to Lake Barkley! We’ll arrive Friday afternoon and stay through Saturday afternoon. Activities available: fishing, golf, trap shooting, buffalo & elk viewing, boating, and some competitive games. More schedule information to follow. Cost is $100 per room for Friday PM lodging with choices of 2 - 4 to a room ($50 each for 2, $25 each for 4). Please give Doug Formby a check for your portion of the room NO LATER THAN Sunday, September 5. Snacks are provided, but Friday dinner and Saturday meals are additional. Rooms are limited, so advise Doug ASAP (formby11@gmail.com or cell 859-653-9654) if you plan to attend. Also, when reserving your space, please indicate your shirt size (S/M/L/XL/XXL).

The Indiana District Assemblies of God is hosting a Senior Adult Retreat at Lake Placid Conference Center in Hartford City, IN. Both singles and married couples are welcome to attend.
